Itemlift is a Chrome side panel for bookkeepers. Pick the items, choose the change, check the before-and-after preview, and save. No spreadsheet export, no re-import you can't take back.
How it works
Open Itemlift next to QuickBooks
Click the Itemlift icon in Chrome's toolbar. A panel opens beside whatever you're working on, with your client's name and color at the top.Pick the items
Search and filter by type, category or income account, then tick the items to change, or select all that match.Choose the change and check the preview
New price, a percentage increase with rounding, a new income or expense account, category, description, SKU, taxable, find and replace in names, or make items inactive. Every item shows its old and new value before anything is saved.Save, and undo if you need to
Itemlift saves through Intuit's official connection, one item at a time, and keeps a change log. Changed your mind? Undo puts the old values back.
Why not export and re-import?
QuickBooks Online has no bulk edit for products and services. The usual workaround is to export a spreadsheet, edit it, and import it again with "overwrite", which can't be undone.

Safe with closed books
Changing an item's account normally rewrites its past invoices. Itemlift keeps past transactions as they are unless you tick the box to change them, and warns you about items where QuickBooks always does.
A paper trail for clients
Every save is logged: item, field, old value, new value, time. Export it as a spreadsheet to show a client exactly what changed.
Many clients, no mix-ups
Connect each client's company and switch between them. A colored bar names the client you're editing, and every Save button names them too.
Catalog check
Finds likely duplicates, items selling below cost, missing prices and descriptions, shared SKUs and untidy names, with a one-click way to fix each.
Questions
What does Itemlift change in QuickBooks?
Only the products and services you select, and only the fields you choose. It never changes transactions, balances or inventory quantities. Account changes leave past transactions alone unless you choose otherwise.
How does it connect?
Through Intuit's official "Connect to QuickBooks" sign-in, using the QuickBooks Online Accounting API. Itemlift never sees your Intuit password and doesn't read your QuickBooks screens.
Which QuickBooks Online plans work?
Itemlift is built for QuickBooks Online in the US and tested on QuickBooks Online Plus. Advanced, Essentials and Simple Start use the same product and service fields. Other countries are planned.
What does it cost?
The beta is free, with every feature unlocked. Beta users will get a lasting founding discount when paid plans start. Basic editing and "undo last save" will stay free.
Can I disconnect?
Any time, from Itemlift or from inside QuickBooks. Itemlift then deletes everything it stored for that company. Nothing in QuickBooks is changed.
